Originally recorded in 1976 in Nashville, Country Girl Gold features Rita Remington’s versions of a variety of country hits from the mid-70’s. Reissued digitally in celebration of Sun Records’ 70th Anniversary, Rita adds her own signature sweet style to songs originally by songstresses like Tonya Tucker, Crystal Gayle, Donna Fargo, Jeanne Pruett— even a poignant version of outlaw singer-songwriter Jessi Colter’s “I’m Not Lisa.”
